Alexandria's Food and Wine Festival Saturday: Rain or Shine
Fourth annual event starts at noon and continues until 6 p.m. Saturday at Oronoco Bay Park in Alexandria.
The 4th Annual Alexandria’s Food & Wine Festival is set to return Saturday at a new waterfront location, rain or shine. This year’s event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Old Town’s waterfront at Oronoco Bay Park (see map).
The festival is a community-based event featuring tastes of local foods and wine, as well as artisans, a Children’s Corner and live entertainment. The event will transform Oronoco Bay Park into a lively festival easily accessible by car, Metrorail or Dash Bus.
Attendees will be able to sample food and wine from a variety of local restaurants and Virginia’s wineries. Local restaurants will compete for the best appetizer, the best main course and the best dessert, judged by notable DC foodie judges. There will also be food demonstrations sponsored by Sur La Table in which they will provide demos throughout the day.
