Bakery Opens In Alexandria's Pendleton Carryout Co.
Killa Cakes is the latest addition to the new Pendleton Carryout, an incubator for emerging food concepts.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Pendleton Carryout Company, an incubator for emerging food concepts in Alexandria, is adding a bakery to its offerings. Killa Cakes will be open on Friday, Nov. 30.
Bria Taylor's Killa Cakes offers cakes emphasizing graphically designed art and eccentric flavors. The cakes are made using graphic design and even use edible printers for icing sheets. Taylor has sold her cakes at Shop Made in DC, Femme Fatale’s pop-up stores in DC, Post Coffee Bar in Tysons, Steadfast Supply and now Pendleton Carryout.
Some of Killa Cakes' unique offerings include Snack Attack with kettle cooked chips mixed into a batter frosted with dulce de leche buttercream and topped with a chocolate stout sauce and pretzel crack ($7 per slice); and Killa Confetti cake with white chocolate buttercream, cake batter ganache, blondie bits and Coco Loco chocolate malt cake with dark chocolate filling, chocolate crumb and brownie batter buttercream. Aside from cakes available by slice, Pendleton Carryout Company will have Atomic Brownies, a blend of chocolate chip cookies, Oreos and double chocolate brownie batter topped with chocolate ganache and colorful sprinkles ($4).
