Bishop Ireton Seniors Sign National Letters of Intent

Student-athletes will play sports in college after signing commitments. 'We are proud of all our Cardinal athletes,' said Bill Simmons.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Four Bishop Ireton High School seniors signed National Letters of Intent Wednesday, the school announced Thursday morning.

“These binding commitments are for our student-athletes who wish to continue playing sports in college,” the school noted in a news release.

The students are:

  • Amy Krotine, soccer, American University
  • Grace Hersey, soccer, University of North Carolina, Wilmington
  • Lily Weber, soccer, Virginia Tech
  • Corey Johnson, football, United States Air Force Academy

Bill Simmons, the school’s director of Athletics, said: “We are proud of all our Cardinal athletes. We continue to have a strong program that promotes these well-rounded students to excel in their chosen sport and in academics, in order that they can continue in their chosen careers.”
