Black Mold In Ice Machine: Alexandria Restaurant Inspections
Brabo made a comeback in a July health inspection, while another Old Town Alexandria restaurant had black mold in its ice machine.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The City of Alexandria regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.
“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.
Here are some of the violations from recent inspections in July. Among the violations was black mold in the ice machine at Myron Mixon's Pitmaster Barbeque. Other restaurants made comebacks. After Brabo has 13 violations in June, it had no violations in a July follow up.
