Bishop Ireton Crew Team heads to NCAA Division 1 Colleges

The Bishop Ireton Rowing Team is proud to announce that six seniors have signed to row at NCAA Division I programs. It has been a long and arduous process for these very successful and powerful young individuals but all their hard work has paid off:

Catherine Babiec - Princeton University

Josh Martini - University of Wisconsin (scholarship)

Lyndsay Martini - University of Virginia (scholarship - defending Women's NCAA Champions)

Kevin Shoop - University of Washington (defending Men's NCAA Champions)

"I am very proud of our senior class," Head Coach Eric Gehrke said, "as they set goals for themselves as underclassmen - individual ones and team ones. At this point, they have gone far beyond what they hoped to achieve individually and we hope to continue their success on a team-wide basis. I know they will all do a great job at their college programs in the coming years."

The Rowing team completes their season in these coming weeks with the WMIRA Championships, Stotesbury Cup, and hopefully an invite to the National Championships.
