Business Marks Anniversary With Fundraiser For ACT for Alexandria

Sugar Shack Donuts will be donating a portion of donut sales to benefit charitable causes in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Sugar Shack Donuts & Coffee of Alexandria is celebrating its fifth anniversary in January with a charitable effort. The location at 804 North Henry Street will donate five cents for every donut sale to ACT for Alexandria throughout January.

"When we opened in Alexandria, we were as committed to being a great neighbor as we were to making the best donuts in the DMV," said owner Rob Krupicka. "Celebrating our anniversary by supporting one of our favorite local charities is a continuation of that commitment."

Sugar Shack's DMV franchise dates back to January 2015 when the Alexandria location opened. Since then, locations opened in DC's Shaw neighborhood, Arlington and Lansdowne. Each location emphasizes support for local events and charities.
