Join Breast Cancer Collective for the 2026 Walk to Bust Cancer on Sunday, October 18 at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria, Virginia.
This annual breast cancer awareness walk brings together survivors, families, friends, teams, and community supporters from Alexandria and across Northern Virginia for a morning of connection, remembrance, and action.
Funds raised through the Walk to Bust Cancer support Breast Cancer Collective’s work to expand access to breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and support services for people who may otherwise struggle to afford or access care.
The event includes a special recognition of breast cancer survivors and warriors, along with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for walkers of all ages. Participants may register individually or as part of a team, and fundraising is encouraged but not required.
Whether you are walking in honor of someone you love, celebrating survivorship, remembering someone lost to breast cancer, or simply showing up to support better access to care, you are invited to be part of the community.
The Walk to Bust Cancer takes place Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Fort Hunt Park in Alexandria, VA.

This workshop is an embodied experience to welcome your whole self with warmth &amp; to encourage daily compassion.
Tarot and yoga are tools for self-inquiry and contemplation to encourage a soft, curious attitude toward your innate wisdom.
Yoga offers a somatic practice to align body &amp; spirit while clearing the mind. Tarot provides archetypal symbols to act as a mirror to highlight subconscious understanding.

The Alexandria A Cappella Collective is excited to announce that registration is open for the ’26-’27 season of its youth chorus, Capital Force! Students learn barbershop from top educators and will perform locally and on the Barbershop Harmony Society International stage at Virginia Beach in February in the beautiful Sandler Center for the Performing Arts.Join the kickoff rehearsal

The kickoff meeting on October 18 includes voice placement, an informal audition, vocal warm-ups, and singing together. You will also learn about the season’s dates and rehearsal expectations. Interested singers are welcome to register and try the first rehearsal before deciding whether to join.
Who can join?
Capital Force welcomes singers in grades 7-12 from the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Seventh graders are considered on a case-by-case basis with a recommendation from a parent and teacher.
Location and registration
Rehearsals take place in Alexandria. For participant safety, the exact rehearsal location is emailed to registered participants. Everyone will learn how new ideas for shaking up their routine, and taking care of themselves.The content of the class will review: - building a personal pleasure practice - setting the 'vibes' (pun maybe intended) - exploring different types of sensations - moving beyond goal-oriented play - incorporating tools &amp;&nbsp;toys 

What to expect from this workshop:&nbsp;This is an educational and experiential class, but it is not a sexual class. Folks will have the opportunity to see and touch tools and products, but none will be used at the event.&nbsp; The focus of the content will be on expanding your options both physically and mentally.<table><tbody><tr><td>The Fine Print: Lotus Blooms’ workshops are open to people of all genders and sexual orientations, individuals, couples, or groups.
