Call for Applications to Old Town North Advisory Group
Group will assist City with recommendations pertaining to plan content including vision, principles, framework and with outreach activities.

The City of Alexandria will formally begin a new Old Town North Small Area Plan planning process in fall 2015.
In preparation, the City Council adopted Resolution 2682 on June 23, establishing categories for an Old Town North Advisory Group. As noted in the Old Town North Small Area Plan Application and Nomination Processes document, the City is seeking applications and nominations for the 16-member Advisory Group.
Working with staff, and other professionals, the Advisory Group will assist the City with recommendations pertaining to plan content including vision, principles, framework and with outreach activities.

The Advisory Group is anticipated to meet at least once a month with the actual schedule determined in an initial organizing meeting to be scheduled in September. The full planning process is anticipated to take 18 months from September 2015 to January 2017.
The City seeks to fill 10 slots through the Application process.

· Old Town North Redevelopment Sites/Property Owners (3)
Application forms for these 10 slots must be submitted to Nancy Williams at nancy.williams@alexandriava.gov, Department of Planning and Zoning, by 9 a.m. on Aug. 17.
The remaining six of the 16 slots are commission/board seats, and nominations for those seats will be submitted by the chair of the respective commission/board, with a due date that has been extended from July 31 to August 17.
The selection and appointment of all seats will be made by the City Manager.
