ALEXANDRIA, VA — Progress on Alexandria's Carlyle Crossing development continues as the first of three apartment communities has begun pre-leasing for the fall.

Reese, a 161-unit apartment community at 2495 Mandeville Lane, will open for move-ins in fall 2021. Floor plans show an available date of Nov. 2, according to the leasing website.

The apartment community will connect to its sister tower Dylan through a 3-acre, 60-foot-high elevated terrace park. Dylan is expected to open in early 2022. Another apartment building, Easton, will open in the winter.

One of the main draws of the development is the opening of the Wegmans grocery store in spring 2022. Residents of Reese can access the Wegmans on the ground floor of their building.

Carlyle Crossing will be a mixed-use development with 1.7 million square feet. Residential development will account for 720,000 square feet with 741 units and 1,500 parking spots over three developments. The retail space will make up over 210,000 square feet of the development.

"Carlyle Crossing is one of the most forward-thinking projects in the area, and our team is excited to bring this unique offering of living and retail options to Alexandria, VA," stated Doug Firstenberg, principal at Stonebridge, the developer of Carlyle Crossing. "Reese is the first of many upcoming exciting steps we are taking toward delivering this neighborhood, and we look forward to continuing our work towards the completion of the entire neighborhood in 2023."

Reese is designed by architects at Cooper Carry, and the property manager is Bozzuto. Units will range from studios to two bedrooms with a den. Apartments will have oversized windows, walk-in closets and high ceilings. Residents can choose from three kitchen and bathroom finish packages with quartz countertops, undermount sinks, and Kohler and Moen fixtures from interior designer Hartman Design Group.

The community will feature over 23,000 square feet of outdoor amenity space, such as an indoor-outdoor bar area with grilling stations, fire pit, outdoor lounge areas, views of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, and three-acre elevated terrace park connecting the three residential properties, Dylan & Reese and Easton.

Interior amenities include a rooftop clubroom with a lounge, 24/7 fitness center with a yoga studio and meditation terrace, conference rooms and co-working spaces, and a lecture room with a TED Talk-style stage and seating. The community is less than a quarter mile to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro.

"Carlyle Crossing offers a different kind of experience," said Jo Gavigan, senior vice president at Bozzuto. "From proximity to transit options, to world-class amenities, to unparalleled views and even a Wegmans right downstairs, the neighborhood combines the comforts of home with the conveniences of any urban area."
