Wegmans To Open Alexandria Location In 2022, Hiring Begins

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Wegmans, the store that will anchor the Carlyle Crossing development in Alexandria, announced it will open in spring 2022. Hiring is underway for full-time positions.

The 1.7 million-square-foot Carlyle Crossing development will include commercial, residential and retail uses on several blocks of Hoffman Town Center around Mandeville Lane, Stovall Street and Mill Road. The Wegmans store will be 81,300 square feet and feature a Market Café, bar, coffee shop, and The Burger Bar. Two levels of parking will be located below the store, and residential units will be located above. The Eisenhower Metro is within walking distance.

The Carlyle-Alexandria store is currently accepting applications for full-time positions such as entry-level management, team leaders, shift leaders, and culinary professionals. The store will hire approximately 450 people, and 150 full-time positions are available now. Part-time hiring will begin at a later time. Wegmans is also hiring at all Northern Virginia locations.

The Carlyle-Alexandria store will be the 14th Wegmans store in Virginia. Wegmans first debuted in Virginia with the opening of a Dulles location in 2004. The latest opening was a store at the Capital One Center in Tysons in late 2020.
