ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria has its share of celebrity sightings and there comes word Friday via The Washington Post’s Reliable Source that Caps star Alex Ovechkin and his fiancee, Nastya Shubskaya, with a group that included the hockey player’s parents, were seen dining on hibachi recently at Sumo in Alexandria.

The newest member of the NHL 500-goal club, the Washington Capitals’ Ovechkin has a lot to celebrate. He was honored with a ceremony celebrating his achievement before the game against the Vancouver Canucks at Verizon Center on Thursday.
Ovechkin became the 43rd NHL player to score 500 goals, on Sunday against the Ottawa Senators.
