Charming Rufus Is The Alexandria Animal Welfare League's Adoptable Pet Of The Week

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Charming Rufus is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s adoptable pet of the week.

Rufus is a handsome older guy in search of a soft place to land, the AWLA says. “This furry gentleman is 10 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He's a social and outgoing dog who is always pleased to make new friends.” Rufus has a goofy smile for every situation and enjoys an evening constitutional. He’s also happy to hang out with a chew and keep you company on the couch. The shelter also says he’s up for learning new skills (with treats).

Rufus is currently in a foster home and, thanks to a generous donor, his adoption fees have been paid.

To see this sweet older gent or any of the other dogs, cats and other furry friends waiting for their homes, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
