Child Injured Sunday in Parking Lot Accident: Report
She was being held for observation at a local hospital, according to radio station WTOP.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria police are investigating a Sunday morning accident in which a child was struck by a car, according to a police statement.
The police responded to the scene at 11:11 a.m. in the 200 block of West Glebe Road, according to the statement. The child was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The child was being held at the hospital for obeservation Sunday, radio station WTOP reported. The accident occurred in a parking lot.

The driver of the car stayed on the scene after the accident, the police said. They were trying to decide Sunday whether to cite or charge the driver, WTOP reported.
