Made in ALX, in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, is excited to welcome kids ages 6 to 13 to our summer art camps! Your kids can paint, sculpt and craft in a positive and supportive environment with small class sizes (just 10 kids per session). These week-long, half-day camps are hosted both mornings and afternoons for children ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 13. Classes are taught by an experienced and loved Fairfax County Public Schools art teacher. At Grace, we are small by design, creating a close-knit community where each child is truly known, valued, and supported. We serve students from preschool (ages 3) through 5th grade, providing a warm, consistent environment where children can grow with confidence over time. Little Shop of Horrors centers on themes of fatal ambition, greed, and the high cost of success. It explores the dangers of giving in to temptation, the exploitation of the poor, and the destruction caused by unbridled desire.
The musical features a mix of dark comedy, rock-and-roll, and doo-wop music, exploring themes of greed and sacrifice. Performed by 46 Alexandria youth, this promises to be one of the most dynamic and entertaining local production you will see this year.
