Creatures 'Wild and Domestic' invade Scope Gallery
Artist critter clay puts Whiskers and Wags on the map with the Wild Things at the Torpedo Factory Art Center's Scope Gallery
Clay is catering to owners of spoiled schnauzers, prissy pussycats, equine appreciators and crazy bird watchers with the Kiln Club’s annual animals show.
Dedicated to fans of fur and feathers, sculptural and functional critter-based ceramics are featured in the center ring of the clay circus of ‘Wild and Domestic.’ Need a fish dish, bird bowl or simply crave critter clay? Paws here!
Rover likes red so he can scarf snacks from a handmade feeder while finicky Fluffy tastes tuna on a sweet little saucer. Bruiser’s bon appetit can come with witty squirrels or tempting tibulas and while meddlesome mice populate pet bowls for Puss.

Our flock has not gone South for the Winter as birds perch on vases, glide across dishes and preen in statuesque representations. Bring home an artistic abode for chickadee season or spice up breakfast with egg-inspired salt and pepper shakers.
Textured artistry and dynamic gesture expresses character in canine, equine and bovine sculptures. Bears, buffaloes and elephants lumber along with coats of compelling crackled and iridescent raku glazing. Shiny hippos are accessorized with hearts, bows and loving details.
