d'Andre Willis to Lead HGA's ACE Practice Group in DC Area Office
Wills to expand HGA's deep national presence in cultural and higher education projects to Mid-Atlantic region.

HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) Principal and Associate Vice President d’Andre Willis, AIA, LEED AP, has transferred to the Alexandria, Virginia, office to build new business opportunities for the firm’s growing Arts, Community and Higher Education (ACE) Practice Group in the Mid-Atlantic region. She will complement the office’s existing Practice Groups serving Corporate, Government and Healthcare clients.
“My goal is to add HGA’s deep national presence in cultural and higher education projects to the strong profile we have in the Mid-Atlantic,” said Willis. “It’s an exciting opportunity.”
She previously was Principal in HGA’s Milwaukee office, where she helped lead the ACE Practice Group for 17 years.

Willis has more than 20 years’ architectural experience specializing in fine and performing arts, museum, higher education, and community facilities. She has additional expertise in sustainable design.
Recent projects include the Washington College Rowing and Sailing Center and Waterfront Academic Building in Chestertown, Maryland; projects for fine and performing arts at three University of Wisconsin campuses; and the Blue Ribbon Suites Student Residence at the historic Pabst Brewery campus in Milwaukee.

Willis has a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, and studied studio art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Society of College and University Planners (SCUP), past Board President of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA), and serves on the boards of Heartland Housing, Fund Milwaukee, and the Milwaukee Urban Campus YMCA Board of Managers.
She is a licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional.
