About Synergy Float Center

Synergy Float Center   www.synergyfloatcenter.com. The first of its kind in Alexandria, Synergy Float Center is designed to provide guests access to their true mental and physical well-being through a variety of innovative modalities including:  flotation therapy, vibro-acoustic sound healing, magnetic therapy, infrared sauna therapy, meditation classes and other wellness protocols.

Located at 1240 N. Pitt Street in Old Town, Synergy Float Center provides their services in a private, peaceful and inviting atmosphere. Their aim is to optimize humanity.   The facility boasts 5 private float rooms, 2 infrared saunas, 2 zero-gravity chairs and a meditation room--all designed to help clients on their journey to a life of harmony, inner peace and deep relaxation. Private showers, a mirrored beauty bar and a lounge help round out the experience and send guests on to the next phase of their day.

Chris Jones, founder and owner of Synergy Float Center, is a disabled veteran who served as an officer for over 24 years in the Army, Air Force, and Navy. A long-time resident of Old Town Alexandria, he discovered flotation therapy on his travels and has witnessed and experienced first-hand, it’s benefits to veterans suffering from PTSD and other trauma and how it has changed their lives.

Through a partnership with Pathway for Veterans, a national nonprofit 501c3, Chris soon realized the application of this type of therapy reaches well beyond military veterans—it also directly applies to the general public.  Gary Ferguson, founder for Pathways for Veterans noted: “Today it is fashionable to say live-in-the-moment, be mindful, but that is not what most people do. Their lives are a constant barrage of things to do and problems to solve. Add in the stress of an unconscious image that triggers an old emotion-laden experience such as lost loved ones, careers or relationships and this can become a form of PTSD.” Chris has made it his life’s work to bring not only float therapy, but also the other modalities he is unveiling at Synergy Float Center, to enrich the lives of Alexandrians—both veteran and civilian.
