At Your Service, Mr. President

Former White House butler Alan DeValerio will share personal memories and memorabilia with residents and guests of The Fountains at Washington House, 5100 Fillmore Ave., on September 10th at 2 pm. Attendees curious about White House entertaining will get the inside scoop, from what’s involved in setting up a State Dinner to what the family quarters of the White House look like. In addition to relating firsthand experiences, DeValerio will relate stories passed down from colleagues who have been taking care of First Families since the Franklin Roosevelt administration. On display will be DeValerio’s personal collection of White House menus, programs, Christmas cards and photos.
