Beau Soir Ensemble: An Evening of Chamber Music

For the fourth year in a row, the Friends of the Torpedo Factory Art Center is delighted to feature the Beau Soir Ensemble in our Performance Art and Lecture Series. Formed in 2007, Beau Soir Ensemble is a flute (Haley Bangs), harp (Michelle Myers Lundy) and viola (Megan Yanik) trio that performs live chamber music concerts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, offering both new and standard repertoire spanning all eras of classical music.  Their goal is to make classical music accessible and enjoyable, inspiring a new generation of music lovers. They will be joined at this special concert by flautist Carrie Rose.

Ms. Lundy, currently principal harpist with the McLean Orchestra, has performed at many Washington venues including the Capitol and Strathmore Hall. Violist Dr. Megan Fergusson Yanik enjoys a multifaceted career as both a performer and teacher. She has performed with orchestras throughout the United States. Flautist Haley Bangs, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, is currently a member of one of the premier military bands in Washington D.C. Carrie Rose is dedicated to performing, composing, and educating young people and adults about music.  She has performed from coast to coast of this country, and abroad in Europe and Russia.

The concert will be free and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.
