Explore life on the high seas during Carlyle House’s Hands-on-History Tent: All Hands on Deck! Children and their families are invited to explore Alexandria's maritime history through crafts and hands-on activities. For a small fee, participants can build their own model sailboat and race it against others! Other activities include making a compass, designing a flag, writing with a quill pen and trying on colonial clothes. The event is designed for children ages 3-12
