The men and women who fought the battle for gay rights in the 1960s and ’70s are now in their sixties and seventies and discovering that their golden years are fraught with the same peril they faced in their youth. Gen Silent, a Stu Maddox documentary, looks at the abuse, bullying and discrimination faced by aging LGBTQ persons in elder care facilities. The film will be shown Wednesday, December 7, at Metro Stage, 1201 N. Royal St. in Alexandria.
