“The Lion Mountains: A Journey through Sierra Leone’s History”

This 54 minute documentary leads you on an adventure through West Africa.  British filmmaker traces his own  Buckley family history to the country of Sierra Leone. The Buckleys were one of the many families transported to Jamaica as slaves.The film delves into the difference between African and European slavery, and some of the effects of Western imperialism and colonial rule.  There is no charge, but seating is limited, so reservations are requested
