Words&Music Presents: Ned Rorem's "Evidence of Things Not Seen"

Thank you for joining us as we open our first full season of programming with Ned Rorem’s "Evidence of Things Not Seen". Words&Music, Inc. was originally conceived to perform this monumental work, and we are pleased to return to our roots by presenting this cycle of American art songs again.

Since our founding, we have expanded our mission to include the commissioning of new works, performing other existing chamber works and, in December, offering our annual seasonal program of Celtic and early American music arranged by our own Terrance Johns.

In January, we will be collaborating with WordSong, a Boston-based nonprofit, to present a weekend of directed discussions based on 4 new settings of “Harlem” by Langston Hughes.

We will conclude the 2011-2012 season with the next installment of our “American Composer” series, featuring the Washington, DC premiers of Howard Frazin’s “Voice of Isaac” and Tom Cipullo’s “Insomnia.”

Please contact us at info@words-music.org to share your thoughts and impressions of these diverse programs.
