Alexandria is getting an ‘Extraordinary’ make-over. Unveiled on September 18, the Alexandria Convention & Visitors Association welcomed a new marketing campaign that focused on revamping the city’s branding strategies. With the expansion of many independent boutiques and restaurants, Alexandria’s thriving community will no longer rely just on print advertising; rather, it will emphasize digital advertising and social media as a way to connect to broader audiences through outlets such as Twitter and Instagram.

We want your input! This turn in advertising allows visitors and residents to highlight their personal favorite spots, shops, and places to dine by encouraging them to use the hashtag #ExtraordinaryALX and posting photos with captions to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram of what they find to be extraordinary in Alexandria.

Alexandria, a DC suburb with quaint townhouses and stone streets, is now also a platform for booming businesses and cultural venues. Share with us why  ’Extraordinary’ Alexandria is not just for visitors, but for the entire community.
