Former Ireland's Own to Become BurgerFi

Paperwork filed with City shows owners hope to open second Virginia location of burger chain.

Old Town Alexandria may soon be getting a new hamburger restaurant. The owners of BurgerFi, a gourmet burger restaurant chain, have filed paperwork with the City of Alexandria to open in the location formerly housing Ireland’s Own, at 111 N. Pitt St.

The former restaurant and pub was sold by Pat Troy after a long run in Old Town but reportedly quickly went downhill under the new ownership.
