FOX-5 Morning Show to Broadcast Live Friday from Old Town Alexandria

Local TV station FOX 5 is bringing its morning show ā€œGood Day DC,ā€ to Alexandria and will be broadcasting live from Old Town on Friday, the station announced Wednesday.

The station will visit the City and broadcast live for three hours Friday morning, from 8-11 a.m.

FOX 5 reporters Wisdom Martin and Holly Morris will help kick off Alexandria’s Live Music Week at the waterfront.

Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille, Emily McMahan, director of Capitol Post and Claire Mouldeoux, Communications Director for Visit Alexandria, will join Martin and Morris to share all that Alexandria has to offer. Local musicians Scott Fallon and Mike Gaffney will also join the anchors.

Weather anchor Tucker Barnes will report live from a riverboat at 8:45 a.m. before heading to the Torpedo Factory Art Center at 9:45 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m., the cast will get a ā€œTaste of Alexandria,ā€ sampling local foods from three new restaurants: Blackwall Hitch, Carluccio’s, and Bon Vivant Cafe + Farm Market, before checking out boutiques that are part of the ā€œShop Smallā€ Campaign.
