Funny Boy Jackson Is Alexandria's Adoptable Pet Of The Week

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Fun and funny Jackson is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s adoptable pet of the week.

"Jackson is a handsome young dog who is currently in the market for a new home,” the AWLA says. “He is an active one-year-and-eight-months-old dog who has a zest for life and a love of people.”

This 54-pound boy has lived with a 14-year-old child in his previous home and appears to get along with other dogs. He’s also sweet and affectionate with people. “Don't be surprised if he puts his paws in your lap and gives you a kiss when you meet!” the shelter says.

Jackson doesn’t love to be alone, so his ideal adopter is someone who is home most of the time. This young boy would be a lovely coworker in a home office and a great walking, running or hiking buddy, according to the shelter.

If you’re looking for a loyal and loving pal, come visit Jackson and the other adoptable animals waiting for their homes. To stop by, contact the AWLA shelter or visit them at 4101 Eisenhower Avenue during adoption hours, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, or noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
