Gunshots Incident In Old Town West Leads To 5 Arrests

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police have announced arrests in the gunshots incident in Old Town West on Wednesday, July 21.

The arrests were made with assistance from Prince George's County Police and the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Region Fugitive Task Force. Five people were arrested and charged with attempted felonious assault by mob: Dennis Keels, 28, of Alexandria, Samuel Felton, 24, of Alexandria, Corey Mason, 21, of Alexandria, Bob McNeely Jr., 21, of Alexandria, and Javon Williams, 22, of Alexandria.

On July 21, police had located shell casings and damage to a business and apartment building in the 800 block of N. Henry Street near the Madison Street intersection. There were no reports of injuries.

Keels and Felton were also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Keels and McNeely Jr. were charged with discharging a firearm in public places.

Keels, Mason, McNeely, Jr., and Williams are being held at the Alexandria Detention Center. Felton is being held in Prince George’s County awaiting extradition.
