Jay Palermino Leaving Alexandria Chamber of Commerce

Chamber has an opening for a fundraising manager.

The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is losing Jay Palermino, currently working as the chamber’s director of membership and sponsorship development, who has worked at the association the past four years. The chamber now has an opening for a fundraising manager.

Chamber President John T. Long made the announcement in the organization’s e-newsletter:

It is with mixed feelings that we announce that Jay Palermino will step down from his staff role with the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Jay, who has served in several positions for four years, will transition from his leadership role on August 29th. The Staff is working with Jay to manage his transition effectively, and we have begun a search for a new Fundraising Manager (see Job Posting here).

Throughout his tenure Jay has served as a peerless advocate for The Chamber. He helped The Chamber forge a number of key relationships in the public and private sectors, to expand the reach and influence of The Chamber, and to create a rich and effective volunteer base that powers the organization. Jay embodies the spirit and drive upon which The Chamber was founded and will be sorely missed by the staff and everyone he has worked with. We wish him the very best in his future career.
