Kickoff Hunger Action Month with Capital Area Food Bank

Governor McAuliffe has officially declared the month of September as Hunger Action Month!

Mayor Bill Euille of the city of Alexandria, Michael T. Futrell of the 2nd District of the Virginia House of Delegates, and Councilman Joe McGuire of the Occoquan Town Council have all pledged to join us on September 1st to kickoff Hunger Action Month. Will you?

On Tuesday, September 1st, from 10 am-2 pm, we’re calling local elected officials and NOVA neighbors to dedicate one hour of their time in support of the hunger relief efforts of the Capital Area Food Bank; the largest hunger relief organization serving the Washington Metro Area. The CAFB provides food to 129 non-profits across Fairfax, Greater Prince William and Arlington Counties, and the City of Alexandria.
