ALEXANDRIA, VA — Three employees at Killer E.S.P. in Alexandria have quit over the owner's alleged views on politics and the coronavirus.

Alexandria Living Magazine first reported the accusations against owner Rob Shelton, based on likes and comments posted to the Killer E.S.P. Twitter page and statements from employees. Screenshots from the Twitter account, shared Alexandria Living Magazine and Yelp users, showed comments calling liberalism a "disease" and data on the seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic a "scam." There were also likes on posts against the Black Lives Matter movement.

The employees have set up a GoFundMe page to support themselves while they look for new jobs. They claim on the page Shelton said employees did not have to wear masks and wanted to let customers dine inside in defiance of state restrictions. Shelton denied posting Twitter comments and likes that could appear offensive, claiming former employees may have gotten into the account.
