Landmark Mall May Get a New Name
What name would you suggest for the shopping center, once it's renovated?
Alexandria’s Landmark Mall may get a new name after it undergoes a complete renovation, according to a city official.
The name of the mall may change “due to negative association with the name ‘Landmark Mall,’ “ according to Pat Esher of the City’s Planning Department, as reported recently by the Alexandria News.
Renovation is likely to begin in late 2014 to early 2015, according to the city. Some shop owners and managers have told Patch their leases aren’t up until next spring.

Springfield Mall will soon reopen as Springfield Town Center. Other malls in the area are The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, Tysons Corner Center, Fair Oaks Mall and Dulles Town Center.
