Man Pleads Guilty In Gang-Related Stabbing
The guilty plea comes after the victim's body was found in Alexandria's Four Mile Run Park almost two years ago.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—The suspect in a gang-related stabbing has pleaded guilty to murder this week in Alexandria. The victim, Eduardo Chandias Almandarez, was found stabbed to death in Four Mile Run Park near Cora Kelly School in Alexandria in November 2015.
Jonathan Gomez Sorto, 22, a former Fairfax County resident, pleaded guilty to one count of first degree murder Monday. Two others have previously been convicted of murder in relation to this case. Boris Rosa Castro was convicted of first degree murder on June 2016 and Edwin Guerrero Umana pleaded guilty in October 2016.
Prosecutors say Gomez Sorto held down the victim after a second MS-13 member stabbed the victim and another joined in, The Washington Post reported. The MS-13 gang has a strong presence in the DC area and has been tied to a number of murders.
