New Boutique, Curated, Now Open in Old Town

Accessories and home goods are featured at second-story shop.

A new boutique, Curated, opened recently in Old Town at 107 N. Fairfax St., promising “pretty things for gift and home.”

“I stocked the store with things I would want to buy for myself—or my mom,” owner Page Castrodale recently told Washingtonian magazine.

The store is located on the second floor. If you missed the recent grand opening, you can plan to attend the boutique’s first Sip and Shop on Wednesday, June 17 from 6-8 p.m. The event will feature cocktails, appetizers, discounts and giveaways.

Curated started as a daydream. For owner Page Castrodale, it was the idea of a shop full of pretty things she’d always loved; a place you’d take your girlfriends when they visited from out of town. That dream went from “maybe one day” to “why not now?” in just a matter of months.

With a background in branding and marketing, Page combined her love of creative design with her dedication to small businesses, and built a boutique that supports the independent makers and designers. This charming second-floor space, located in the heart of historic Old Town Alexandria, is the place to go for lovely, but practical goods for your home, yourself or your best friend. And because everything is handmade or designed by independent artists, it’s kind of like you’re supporting dozens of small businesses all at once.

At Curated, you’ll find things to wear and things to feather your nest. You’ll find the perfect birthday gift and the perfect hostess gift. And we work hard to keep it all fresh, so you’re sure to find something new every time you visit.
