Outreach Sunday at Christ Church -- April 19
Come learn how Christ Church works with non-profits and social services to maximize resources and reach out to meet the community needs.

On Outreach Sunday, April 19, we welcome Allen Lomax, chair of Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria, and Diane Charles, executive director of ALIVE!, to share the demographics and budget facts that affect Alexandria today at 9:00 a.m. during the forum hour. Come learn how the city of Alexandria is changing. These changes impact how Christ Church and other faith communities within the city work together with non-profits and social services to maximize resources and reach out to meet the needs and necessities of the people in our community.
At the 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. services, Arthur Miller Sr. will be our guest preacher. Arthur is a member of our congregation who has a special role in leading the Lazarus Food Pantry and the Lazarus Emergency Financial Assistance Ministry. He arrives at Christ Church to coordinate services quite early every Wednesday and Thursday...as people seeking food and needing financial assistance come as early as 6:00 a.m.
Designated and loose plate offerings from Outreach Sunday services will directly benefit the Lazarus Ministry this year. To make your contribution to Outreach, please write “Outreach” in the memo line of your check OR use the Outreach envelope provided with your April envelopes. The loose plate is comprised of all cash not in envelopes.
