
ALEXANDRIA, VA—Police say a pedestrian was injured in a crash on Duke Street Sunday night.
The crash happened in the 6000 block of Duke Street on a ramp to Interstate 395, according to an alert sent around 10:30 p.m. The pedestrian went to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police did not share details about how the crash happened but say the cause is under investigation. The crash temporarily closed the westbound direction of Duke Street Sunday night.
The incident happened the same day Alexandria Police officers and other community members participated in a Walk of Remembrance for victims of traffic crashes.
