Post-Thanksgiving Metro Project Impacts Alexandria Riders
Yellow Line service to DC won't run beginning on Monday.

Alexandria riders should prepare for Metro track work disruptions immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. From Monday, Nov. 26 to Sunday, Dec. 9, Yellow Line service in Northern Virginia and DC will be halted. During the two-week period, Metro will be repairing the Yellow Line Bridge between the Pentagon and L'Enfant Plaza stations.
Customers should use the Blue Line as an alternative to travel to and from DC. Blue Line trains will go between Franconia-Springfield and Largo Town Center and between Huntington and Largo Town Center. Riders should expect crowding.
On weekdays, Blue Line trains will run every 16 minutes (every 20 minutes after 8 p.m.). Trains are expected to be less frequent during rush hours due to capacity limits in the Rosslyn tunnel. The weekend schedule is every 16-20 minutes.
