Alexandria Manhunt: Suspect Sought In Potential Abduction
Alexandria Police and the Fairfax County helicopter helped search for the suspect with two women in his vehicle.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Virginia State Police launched a manhunt in the Alexandria area for suspects in a possible abduction.
Around 12.:15 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle involved in the possible abduction on the westbound Capital Beltway near Alexandria. Police believe two women voluntary got into the vehicle with a man they knew. However, the man would not stop when the women asked to be let out of the car.
A state trooper near Van Dorn Street and the Beltway saw the car entering Interstate 395 and tried to pull it over. A pursuit ensued, leading the vehicle and police to King Street. The driver stopped the vehicle in a residential area and fled on foot.

Police did not catch the suspect immediately, but the two women were left in the vehicle. Alexandria Police and the Fairfax County helicopter assisted with the search. No one was injured.
Virginia State Police say there is no threat to the public at this time. The incident is under investigation.
