Eater DC compiled a list of 43 DC metro area restaurants where the first lady has dined. Which ones have you visited?

So when first lady Michelle Obama gets out of the White House to sample cuisine from some of the DC metro area’s culinary stars, where does she go?

Some of the restaurants are right here in Alexandria and were included on the mega-list. Here they are, and what Eater DC has to say about each:
- Restaurant Eve: “The Obamas celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary at Restaurant Eve in 2011. Eater reports that the first couple took photographs with servers and waved to patrons in the bar. Eater reported: “And the chef was so excited when he got the call from Eve’s general manager that he forgot to turn off the stove when he left home.“
- Vermilion: “The First Couple dined at Vermilion for Valentine’s Day in 2012, under the watch of the restaurant’s chef at the time, Tony Chittum.”
- Union Street Public House: “Michelle Obama, Malia and one of Malia’s friends ate lunch at Union Street Public House in June 2011.”

- Dairy Godmother: President Obama and daughters stopped by for some frozen treats on Father’s Day in 2009.
- The Majestic: The Obama family celebrated Michelle Obama’s mother’s birthday here.
- FireFlies Restaurant & Bar: President Obama and Education Secretary Arne Duncan grabbed a burger at this Del Ray eatery last year.
- Del Ray Pizzeria: President Obama got some takeout here in 2011.
