Ready to Ditch the Coffee Shop? Co-Work Space 'cove' Opens in Old Town Alexandria

Looking for an alternative to working at your local coffee shop? There are a few co-working spaces in Alexandria, including a brand one one, cove, which recently opened on King Street, according to a news release from the company.

The office space is located at 805 King Street, on the second floor.

It joins other co-work spaces in Alexandria, including:

• Connect 113, 113 S. Columbus St., Suite 100
• The Agency at 950, 950 N. Washington St., Alexandria

Here’s more about cove: Members can cancel, pause, upgrade or downgrade plans at any time. There are individual and group options, as well as desk and conference room plans. Every month your plan automatically renews and you are charged that plan’s rate.

If you go over the hours in your plan at cove, then you are charged that plan’s hourly rate (the $3, $2.80, or $2.48). None of the plans limit you in the amount you use the space—you’re free to come as much as you’d like.

If you don’t use all the hours in your plan, 20 percent of the original hours in your plan will rollover to the next month. So as an example, up to 10 hours will rollover on the large plan.

Here’s a sample of the monthly plans, at cove:

• Small individual desk plan: 8 hours/month for $24/month; extra hours at $3/hour
• Medium individual desk plan: 20 hours/month for $56/month; extra hours at $2.80/hour
• Large individual desk plan: 50 hours/month for $124/month; extra hours at $2.48/hour.

Here’s what you get for your monthly fee, at cove:

• A host onsite
• Reliable wifi
• Printing and scanning
• Unlimited coffee, tea, sparkling water, juice

Hours at cove are:

• Monday-Thursday: 8 am-11 pm
• Friday: 8 am-8 pm
• Saturday: 9 am-8 pm
• Sunday: 9 am-11 pm

Other locations for cove include three DC spots, on 14th Street, Capitol Hill and Columbia Heights, with a Georgetown location opening soon.
