Santa Train Tickets Beginning To Sell Out In Alexandria
We still have a ways to go before the Christmas season, but tickets are going fast for the popular Santa Train.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — If you believe people don't have Christmas on their minds already, think again, Halloween has yet to pass, but tickets for the popular Santa Train in Alexandria are beginning to sell out.
Whistle Stop Toy & Hobby, which sells tickets to the Santa Train, says the Friday, Dec. 13 date has sold out. Other available dates are Monday, Dec. 2, Monday, Dec. 9 and Monday, Dec. 16.
The 15th annual Santa Train features a round-trip train ride from King Street Station in Alexandria to Old Town Manassas. Mr. and Mrs. Claus come aboard to hand out treats to children. Trains leave King Street Station at 1:25 p.m. and stop in Old Town Manassas for approximately 30 minutes. At that time, riders can receive hot chocolate and cookies. Hooray for Books will set up a store at the station, and Santa will hold a Q&A session on the station platform.

Families should set aside 1 p.m. to 3:30 for the event. The train will return to Alexandria around 3:30 p.m.
Tickets are $29.99 per person and are sold at Whistle Stop Toy & Hobby, 1719 Centre Plaza, Fairlington Shopping Centre, Alexandria, VA.
