Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive - Saturday May 9th!

Coming soon to a mailbox near your front door

• On Saturday May 9th, your US Postal letter carrier will be doing more than just delivering bills, parcels and junk mail. Along with the US Postal Service and the The NALC Letter Carrier Union they will be picking up non-perishable food items and delivering them to local food banks such as:
  
• ALIVE Inc, United Community Ministries, Koinonia Foundation,
• Rising Hope UMC and Capital Area Food Bank.
  
• Last year here in the Alexandria mailing area, our letter carriers picked up over 75,000 pounds of food on that second Saturday in May! With Postal customers assistance we hope to reach 80,000 pounds of food this coming Saturday! Join us by placing a bag or two by your mailbox, your lobby and your outdoor neighborhood box and help your letter carrier help those who are truly in need.
