Teens Assault Girl For Cell Phone In Old Town Alexandria

A teenager was assaulted and robbed by a group of teens in Old Town Alexandria, police say.

Alexandria Police responded to the robbery in the 400 block of North Royal Street, according to an alert sent at 4:12 p.m. The group of girls stole the victim's cell phone after assaulting her. The victim had minor injuries.

Police did not announce any arrests or suspect descriptions. Expect police activity in the area.
