The Alexandria Historic House and Garden Tour - A Photo Gallery

Despite the rain, large crowds of architecture, gardening, and interior design fans toured a number of historic homes and gardens in Old Town on Saturday

The Garden Club of Alexandria and the Hunting Creek Garden Club sponsored the Historic House and Garden Tour on Saturday in Old Town Alexandria.  The tour opened up six different historic homes in Old Town to the public for viewing.

Fans of architecture, interior design and gardening were all given an insider's tour of the beautifully designed homes in the area.  With umbrellas in hand, visitors were able to walk through the homes and learn about their histories, view the owners' tastes in design, and enjoy their neatly manicured gardens.

Members of the Hunting Creek Garden Club provided information about the homes to visitors through out the day.
