Three Robbery Incidents Overnight in Alexandria: Police
Man brandished gun while demanding purses near Landmark Mall; three males forcibly stole bicycle from victim near Braddock Road Metro.

Alexandria Police are investigating three overnight robbery incidents in the City, two of which appear to be connectd, according to alerts from police.
Two of the incidents Friday night that police believe are connected involved a black male suspect who stayed in his vehicle, while brandishing a gun and demanding the victim’s purse, police said:
- First incident: Attempted Robbery in the 300 block of Yoakum Parkway, in the Landmark Mall area. The female victim fled without handing over purse; no injuries involved.
- Second incident police believe is connected to first: Robbery in the 200 block of S. Reynolds Street, near Landmark Mall. The female victim tossed her purse into the suspect’s vehicle and fled without injury.
- The Alexandria Police Department is also investigating a robbery in the 300 block of E. Braddock Road, near the Braddock Road Metro station. Three males forcibly stole a bicycle from the victim, police said. An alert about the alleged robbery went out at 2:48 a.m.
