No Injuries In Overturned Truck 395 Accident In Alexandria

No one was injured in an accident involving an overturned truck on Interstate 395 Thursday morning.

(Updated 3:30 p.m.) ALEXANDRIA, VA — A dump truck overturned on southbound Interstate 395 in Alexandria Thursday morning. The accident happened between Seminary Road and Duke Street.

An Alexandria Fire Department spokesman told Patch no other cars were involved in the accident. No one was injured, and the truck driver refused medical attention.

As of 1:56 p.m., VDOT says lanes are no longer closed, but delays continue. Virginia State Police are handling the truck accident, which involved a significant amount of sand dumped. Alexandria Police have closed the ramp to 395 South from eastbound Seminary Road. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m., according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Alexandria Fire Department and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews responded.
