Traffic Alert: Downed Tree Blocks Lanes In Alexandria
BREAKING: A downed tree on North Washington Street is causing lane closures in Alexandria.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Commuters heading south into Alexandria via the George Washington Memorial Parkway should delays or explore alternate routes going into the early afternoon.
Alexandria Police said before noon the southbound lanes at the 900 block of North Washington Street are closed for a downed tree on a semi-trailer truck. Traffic is open both ways via the northbound lanes, with one open for northbound traffic and one for southbound.
