Traffic Stop Turns Into Fight; Alexandria Resident Arrested
An Alexandria resident was one of two arrested when a traffic stop turned into a struggle with Fairfax County Police.

LINCOLNIA, VA—A routine traffic in Lincolnia escalated into a struggle between suspects and Fairfax County Police Wednesday.
Around 12:50 a.m., police attempted to pull over a car for an equipment violation at Lincolnia and Gloucester Road. The car stopped and all occupants attempted to flee.
Police caught up to Deybi Cruz Saravia, 22, of Alexandria, who struggled with police while being arrested. Police found cocaine on the suspect.

When the suspect was taken into custody, a second suspect, Edwin Solarzano Saravia, 25, came back and aggressively approached police. He also struggled with officers while being arrested. Police could not find the third unknown suspect.

Cruz Saravia has been charged with with possession of cocaine, obstruction of justice and assault on a law enforcement officer. Solarzano Saravia was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer. No mugshots are available.
