Upcoming Harry Potter Events In Alexandria Are Selling Out Fast

The next science behind Harry Potter tour is already sold out, but one more date has tickets available.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Alexandria must have a lot of Harry Potter fans, because some magical events inspired by the series have sold out quickly.

The Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum (105-107 S. Fairfax St) transforms into the world of Harry Potter for its Apothecary Geek Tours. The event explores the science behind Harry Potter, from potion-making to herbology. Visitors can even make their own magical sleeping potions.

If the terms Polyjuice Potion and Skele-Gro mean anything to you, this is the event for you. However, you'll have to wait until after Christmas, as the Dec. 10 event has sold out. There will be another chance in the new year on Sunday, Feb. 11. The museum's biggest Harry Potter event happens July 31 in honor of Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling’s birthday. This year, it sold out days before the event. The two-day event began with family-friendly tours on July 30, following with an adult event with Harry Potter-themed cocktails on July 31.
