Water Taxi Launches for Season Saturday, from Alexandria to National Mall
Route includes National Harbor, Alexandria and Ohio and West Basin Drive SW in DC. Trip from Alexandria to DC is about 30 minutes.

The Potomac Riverboat Company launches its 30-minute direct water taxi between Old Town Alexandria and the National Mall in Washington, DC, beginning Saturday, March 21.
The opening ceremony for the National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place Saturday.
The boat docks at Ohio and West Basin Drive SW, just steps from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Tidal Basin and a Capital Bikeshare station. The water taxi pairs the experience of the national monuments and Smithsonian museums with Old Town’s early American history.

The water taxi will operate at select times between March 21 - November 1, 2015. See the Potomac Riverboat Co. website for exact schedule.
Tickets are $28 roundtrip and $14 one-way, and $16 round-trip or $8 one-way for children ages 12 and younger. Reservations may be made online, or you may purchase tickets at the National Harbor ticket booth, or the Alexandria dock ticket booth (based on availability).
